Mommy is Coming… to Frameline36!
Here at the Crash Pad, we’re long-time fans of Cheryl Dunye, a black lesbian filmmaker who is most known for her 1996 film “Watermelon Woman”, which starred herself along with Guinevere Turner.
So imagine our joy to sponsor her first foray into erotic cinema, with the San Francisco premiere of her new raunch-comedy film “Mommy is Coming” at Frameline36 on June 16th.

Mommy is Coming stars some familiar faces — the lead is played by none other than Papi Coxxx, who you may recognize from Shine Louise Houston’s The Wild Search and Episode 98 on CrashPadSeries.com.
Other characters in the film include Jiz Lee and Sadie Lune. Both Jiz and Sadie will be present at the Mommy is Coming VIP Party, Screening, and After-Party, as will the film’s director Cheryl Dunye.

Update: Episodes 123 and 124, plus Behind the Scenes
Episode 123 and it’s Behind the Scenes interviews have been live for a few weeks, so check them out if you haven’t yet!
And today, the Behind the Scenes for Episode 124 went live (yes, we’re a bit behind with the blog!).
Since we’re catching up, we’ll make this discussion thread a double-header. First up, in Kathryn Dupri’s and Lily Cade’s Behind the Scenes interview, they discuss the mental intensity of their scene, wherein Kathryn was restrained both literally and metaphorically. She described the structure Lily imposed as the hardest part of the shoot, but also the most rewarding. Have you found this true in your own experience? Does a sense of structure cramp your style, or does the challenge draw out your A-game?
Switching gears, in the latest Behind the Scenes interview Christoph and Estelle discuss “mainstream porn” as something that saddens them and drives them to create something better. However, Estelle is careful to point out that not all mainstream porn is aimed at the lowest common denominator. In that spirit, how about some recommendations? Are there any examples of porn that would fall under the label of “mainstream” that you would recommend to fans of queer porn?
Get the discussion rolling on these or any other question in the comments!
